Careers Awards Manufacturing COMPANY BACKGROUND Inventor of the Flip Screen Sam Turnbull identified the need for a portable, highly productive screening machine whilst running his own excavation business in Sydney, Australia. With waste disposal fees soaring and truck movements rapidly increasing his overheads, an effective way to screen materials onsite to minimise waste became of paramount importance. Whilst on his farm in regional New South Wales, Sam uncovered further evidence that a gap in the market existed in terms of a method to screen aggregates to many various sizes inexpensively and quickly. Over a 16 year period Sam came up with the Flip Screen concept. Based on a smooth rotating action around a horizontal axis, with the ability to screen aggregates of many different types, shapes and sizes, the Flip Screen is unlike any screening product in the world. The company behind the Flip Screen range of products, Flip Screen Australia, is based in regional New South Wales, Australia. Flip Screen’s are manufactured at the company’s two facilities in Wagga Wagga with stringent quality assurance procedures applied throughout all stages of production. The company also has a strong research and development team that continues to add to the product range, with Flip Screens for mini-diggers and 45 tonne excavators planned.
